The Company's high-performance Ka-band antenna, made of proprietary lightweight shape memory material, was folded at launch, allowing for low volume and mass, and successfully deployed when the satellite reached its orbit. This in-orbit deployment of BeetleSat's 60 cm expandable antenna from a 6U CubeSat was an industry first and proved the viability of its proprietary technology.
